Symposium on the Social Cost of Carbon • Call for registration and student/postdoc presentations

Human-caused emission of carbon dioxide poses a grave threat to current and future generations, and one of the most effective ways to deal with the problem is to impose a price on the emission of carbon dioxide by one means or another.
Determining a price – loosely called the “social cost of carbon” – requires consideration of the carbon cycle, climate sensitivity, the nature of damages, and a wide range of economic issues. This symposium brings together experts working across the spectrum of all these areas, and seeks in particular to stimulate productive exchanges across the boundaries of
physical, biological and social sciences.

Program begins at 9AM each day. Click here for the full program.
Wednesday’s agenda is arranged so as not to conflict with the Bolin Lecture and Science Forum.

This meeting is open to the public, but space is limited.
