Congratulations Fredrik! You are an Associate Professor of both History and of Physical Geography, what projects are you currently working on?

“Presently, I’m leading the interdisciplinary project 'Disentangling socio-political and climatic factors for food insecurity in early modern Europe (c. 1500–1800)'. The project aims to systematically investigate which combination of factors made societies in northern Europe, from the 16th to the 18th century, more or less vulnerable to food insecurity and famine.”

You are an active contributor to the media sector, for example “Under strecket” in Svenska Dagbladet. Will we see more of your outreach activities in 2022?

“Yes, I will continue writing for Svenska Dagbladet. Not always about the climate though, but also other subjects”.
