This fall, BalticWaters2030 starts three large-scale demonstrational projects that have been prepared during this year in collaboration with Stockholm University, University of Uppsala, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and RISE. The projects concern restocking of cod in the Baltic Sea, improved circulation of nutrients from manure, and thriving bays. The initial project and day-to-day operations are financed by Ann-Sofie Mattson and institutional grants. In total, close to 150 million SEK will be invested. Future projects will be financed individually by grants.

BalticWaters2030 will develop and conduct new environmental projects but also build on the work previously done by the foundation BalticSea2020, which now ends according to plan. Several employees and members from the board of BalticSea2020 will continue working with the new foundation.
