The following data are contained in this dataset:
- Growthrate_mode_fit: Results of the particle size distribution mode fitting from the growth rate events described in the paper. Columns indicate the datetime, the center of the mode diameter and the standard error associated to the mode fitting procedure. The number of modes changes between different events, here we report values only for the fitted modes during each specific events. Consequently, there are empty cells when the number of modes is less than the maximum.
- Growthrate_summary: summary of the individual growth events. It contains the start and end time of each event, the growth rate [nm/h], the 95% confidence interval from the fit and the mean diameter during the event.
- Iodic_Acid_Model: contains the data used for the iodic acid model described in the publication: datetime, iodic acid concentration and the modelled variable called Lsum that corresponds to the iodic acid deposition velocity plus the condensation sink times the boundary layer height.
- Negative_Ions_17sep18: 30-minute timeseries of the negative ions measured during the new particle formation event on September 17, 2018. For each ion the molecular composition and the concentration are given in counts per second.
- PeaklistTable_17sep18: contains the peak list of the negative ions during the new particle formation event on September 17, 2018. Lists the mass of all measured ions along with the molecular identification when possible and the relative concentration in milli counts per second.
- Residuals_concentration_6sep18: Concentration of cloud residual measurements with a condensation particle counter behind a counterflow virtual impactor inlet during the fog event on September 6, 2018.
- Residuals_sizedistribution_6sep18: Size distribution of cloud residuals measured with a differential mobility particle sizer behind a counterflow virtual impactor inlet during the fog event on September 6, 2018. Concentration is reported as dn/dlogDp in per cubic centimeter.
All datetimes are reported as UTC in the format yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.

Data were collected during the Arctic Ocean 2018 expedition on board the Swedish icebreaker (I/B) Oden, which was organized by the [Swedish Polar Research Secretariat](https://polarforskningsportalen.se/en/arctic/expeditions/arctic-ocean-2018). The observations were part of the project ‘Aerosol-cloud interactions in the High Arctic’ (PI Paul Zieger, Department of Environmental Science, Stockholm University; see [MOCCHA project website](https://www.aces.su.se/research/projects/microbiology-ocean-cloud-coupling-in-the-high-arctic-moccha/) with updates).
