The dataset of surface sediments consists of one table, available as Excel spreadsheet (.xslx), tab-separated text (.txt) file, and as zipped GIS shapefile (in WGS84 geographic coordinate system):
- CASCADEsurfsed_v1.0.xlsx
- CASCADEsurfsed_v1.0.txt
- CASCADEsurfsed_v1.0_GISshp.zip
##### Data sheet structure
Each row in the CASCADE data sheet for surface sediments represents one oceanographic station, for which one or several carbon parameters were analyzed. All data and meta data for each station and measurement have are organized as columns in the data table. More detail about all parameters is provided in the companion manuscript.
###### Columns for ID and georeference
1. CASCADE entry ID
2. Sample code (as reported by data source)
3. Latitude (decimal degrees)
4. Longitude (decimal degrees)
5. Upper sample depth (cm)
6. Lower sample depth (cm)
7. Water depth (m b.s.l.)
8. Water depth based on IBCAO (m b.s.l.)
