Instrument location: icebreaker Oden, 7th deck, on the roof of the meteorological/sounding container.
A semi-portable sensor was measuring incoming and outgoing ultraviolet radiation, with a NILU-UV multiband filter-radiometer (MBFR, NILU Products AS, Norway). This was sometime located at the top of the port container on the 7th deck and sometime carried out on the ice and mounted on a tripod. The instrument has five channels with nominal center wavelengths at 305, 313, 320, 340, and 380 nm, and an additional channel (400-700 nm) for the measurement of photosynthetically active radiation. The data is provided as average and maximum daily dose rate and the daily dose.
Original address: http://www.ascos.se/index.php?q=node/309

Files:
ASCOS2008_NILU-UV_summary_FMI.xls (21 KB)
