This was sometime located at the top of the port container on the 7th deck of the Icebreaker Oden and sometime carried out on the ice floe and mounted on a tripod. The instrument has five channels with nominal center wavelengths at 305, 313, 320, 340, and 380 nm, and an additional channel (400-700 nm) for the measurement of photosynthetically active radiation.
