The data are direct products of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) [available as a separate dataset](https://bolin.su.se/data/schytt-mannerfelt-2022-marma-dem-1) by Schytt Mannerfelt (2022a). The dataset consists of one table in a comma separated `.csv` format, with the following column headers: - **Start area**: The area of the "start year" in m² - **End area**: The area of the "end year" in m² - **Mean area**: The average of the start and end year areas in m² - **Merged area**: The total area of the dissolved (merged) start and end outlines in m². - **dH**: Elevation change in m - **dV**: Volume change in m³ - **MB**: Geodetic mass balance in m water equivalent (w.e.) - *** error**: The sigma-1 uncertainty of the measurement. - **Pixel count**: The number of pixels that were included in the analysis. The geodetic mass balance is calculated using an assumed density of volume change of 850±60 kg / m³ ([Huss 2013](https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-7-877-2013)). [The source code for the analysis](https://git.bolin.su.se/bolin/schytt-mannerfelt-2022-marma) has been made available by Schytt Mannerfelt (2022b). Erik Schytt Mannerfelt was affiliated with the Department of Physical Geography, Stockholm University, when this dataset was prepared.
