A short introduction to the Nagoya Protocol and what you need to take into account when you do or are planning to do research on biological material collected in another country. The Protocol is a binding agreement that regulates access to genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits that arise from their utilisation.
