This is the raw data for boron collected onboard the Swedish icebreaker Oden during the expedition ARTofMELT (Atmospheric Rivers and the Onset of Arctic Melt) in the Fram Strait pack ice during the spring transition, 8 May to 14 June of 2023.
The objective of the study was to evaluate the carbonate system in sea ice with the onset of melt. This dataset includes specifically spectrophotometric pH at 25 degrees Celsius (°C) and in-situ temperatures, boron concentrations, the boron to salinity ratio (B/S), and the computed borate contributions to alkalinity (and the associated error).
The dataset also contains location, salinity, temperature, and water/ice/snow depth information across the sample types.
