Geochemistry XRF core scanning data of gyttja sediments from an Eemian Paleolake at Sokli, Northern Finland

Eemian paleolake gyttja sediments from Sokli in northern Finland were scanned with an ITRAX XRF Core Scanner. Data was acquired for Si, S, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe, Rb, Sr, and Zr and the raw data is presented here. Also included are the coherent and incoherent scattering values which were used to normalise the data as (inc+coh).

The dataset is contained in one xlsx file.

Comments

The data were analysed at the SLAM (Sediment:Lake and Marine) Lab at the Department of Geological Sciences, Stockholm University, using an ITRAX XRF Core Scanner from Cox Analytical Systems. Analyses were made using a Mo tube (30 kV, 45 mA) at a step size of 2.5 mm with 60 s per point.
