Data from expedition LOMROG III, Lomonosov Ridge, Arctic Ocean, 2012

The LOMROG III (Lomonosov Ridge off Greenland) expedition was carried out during summer 2012 in the central Arctic Ocean, around the North Pole and along the Lomonosov Ridge towards Northern Greenland.

With the Swedish icebreaker Oden serving as the research platform, a range of scientific investigations were made. The main scientific goals included investigations of the morphology of the Lomonosov Ridge. Data provided in the database here comprise processed multibeam bathymetry.

The expedition started and ended in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, and lasted from July 31 to September 14, 2012.

Comments

LOMROG III was a follow-up to LOMROG, conducted in 2007, and LOMROG II conducted in 2009. The expedition was carried out by the Danish Continental Shelf Project in cooperation with the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat and the Swedish Maritime Administration.
