Planktonic foraminifer data (counts) from 5 sediment cores are presented from cores named 96/12-1pc, LRG12-3PC, AO16-8GC, AO16-9PC, AO16-10PC.
The foraminiferal data are used to demonstrate a seasonally ice-free Arctic Ocean during the Last Interglacial.
The sediment cores were collected during several cruises with icebreaker Oden (respectively in 1996, 2012, 2016, 2016, 2016). The foraminiferal data represent Marine Isotope Stage 5 (~129.000 – 71.000 years ago).

) and are also presented separately as csv
files. The foraminifera excel file contains a data sheet for each analysed core.
The data sheets with foraminiferal data contains the following columns:

- Depth [mbsf, meter below seafloor]
- Counts of planktonic foraminifera
- Neogloboquadrina pachyderma
- Globigerinita uvula
- Turborotalita Quinqueloba
- Number of times the sample was split
