High resolution temperature maps for a boreal forest area in central Sweden 2015–2016
Caroline Greiser, Eric Meineri, Miska Luoto, Johan Ehrlén, Kristoffer Hylander
Grids of monthly minimum and maximum temperatures are presented at 25 m resolution for a boreal forest area of ~16 000 km2 in central Sweden (including parts of the counties of Värmland, Örebro, Västmanland and Dalarna). The maps cover the months June, July, August, September, October, November and December for the year 2015 and the months April, May, June, July and August for the year 2016. The gridded data were derived by using a multivariate regression approach to relate near-ground temperature measaured at 203 loggers over the snow-free seasons to remotely sensed variables of forest structure and physiography.

Data description
The dataset contains 4 folders with raster maps of monthly averaged daily minimum (folder “Tmin”) and daily maximum (folder “Tmax”) temperatures (daily high and low extremes for each site were averaged over one month). Each single layer can be downloaded as GEOTIFF and can be read in any GIS system. All files are projected in SWEREF99_TM (epsg: 3006). Further information and file details are provided in the dataset.
