Dissolved nutrient concentrations from the Arctic Ocean 2018 expedition
Giacomo DiTullio, Peter Lee, Nicole Schanke
Dissolved nutrient concentrations (nitrite, nitrate, ammonium, phosphate and silicate) of water samples collected via CTD (conductivity, temperature, depth) sondes along ice floe drift station in the High Arctic Ocean.
These data indicate the nutrient status of the upper water column, which provides insight into the limitations, or lack thereof, on phytoplankton biomass and higher trophic levels.
Water samples were collected via CTD from the top 200 m of the water column from August – September 2018. CTD cast were made on a daily basis and location shifted as the attached ice floe drifted.

Data description
Water samples from the upper 200 m were collected via CTD. Water was 0.22 µm filtered and frozen for future analysis. Samples were analyzed by Stockholm University using standard colorimetric methods. Data for nitrite, nitrate, ammonium, phosphate and silicate are included in this dataset.
The dataset is included in one comma-separated values (csv) file.
Comments
Data were collected during the Arctic Ocean 2018 expedition on board the Swedish icebreaker (I/B) Oden, which was organized by the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat.
The data in this dataset are the same as in DiTullio and Lee (2019) published by the Arctic Data Center (see References) under the Creative Commons Universal 1.0 Public Domain Dedication.
