Bulk organic carbon, isotopes and mineral surface area for surface sediments across the Laptev and East Siberian Sea

This dataset was compiled to quantify degradation of terrigenous organic carbon in surface sediments across the Laptev and East Siberian Sea. It includes raw data that has been published in different studies as well as derived parameters such as fraction terrigenous, fraction fine, transport time and degradable fraction terrigenous organic carbon.

Data description
The dataset contains the parameters Total Organic Carbon (TOC), stable carbon isotopes (δ¹³C) and mineral specific Surface Area (SA) for 109 surface sediment samples from the Laptev and East Siberian Seas, collected during the expeditions SWERUS-C3 and ISSS-08. Furthermore, it contains derived transport times for each location, fraction terrigenous, fraction fine and degradable fraction terrigenous organic carbon. File type: xlsx.
